Wes Hunting "l'art du verre"

Wes Hunting voir son site
developed the Color Field Series in 1984. These pieces are instantly recognizable by the intense colors and patterns that are essentially drawn onto the surface of the glass at temperatures of more than 1,600 degrees. The forms have changed over the years, but they have always been simple enough that the shape of the piece never detracts from the increasing complexities of the surface decoration. The millefiori and other decorative elements on my vessels may echo the contours of the piece or establish a contradictory rhythm. In either instance, my goal is to execute a design that always integrates the structure of the form and the surface drawings.
